EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) - Evansville police say they have made an arrest in the case of a man accused of luring a child into his car and then molesting him.

Evansville police spokesman Sgt. Jason Cullum tells the Evansville Courier & Press that 26-year-old Jack Perkins III, Evansville, was arrested near his home Wednesday. He was being held on two preliminary counts of child molesting and one count of felony criminal confinement.

Police did not disclose any information about the victim.

Police said a man pulled up to two juveniles about 5 p.m. Tuesday and persuaded one to enter the car. The juvenile was in the automobile for only a short time, but told police a sexual assault occurred.
