FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) - Police have arrested a man in connection with an attempted armed robbery of a Fort Wayne post office.
Police say city officers and federal agents arrested 34-year-old Julius Lawson of Fort Wayne on federal robbery charges Wednesday.
The Journal Gazette and WANE-TV report Lawson is charged with being one of the two masked gunmen who on Dec. 19 entered the post office on the city's southeast side, leading four workers to hide for more than two hours until officers entered the building. No injuries or gunshots were reported.
Lawson was being held without bond at the Allen County Jail. It wasn't immediately clear whether he had an attorney.
A second suspect remained at large as of Thursday.
