LAPORTE, Ind. (AP) - A northern Indiana man convicted of killing two children and returned to prison for child molesting and possessing child pornography has been denied an early release.
The Times of Munster reported Sunday that LaPorte Circuit Judge Tom Alevizos recently denied Richard Dobeski's request that his most recent convictions in 2008 be overturned. He's due to be released from prison in August.
The 64-year-old Pulaski County man was convicted in April 2008 and molesting a 7-year-old boy and having child porn. Alevizos sentenced him to 11 years in prison.
Dobeski was released from prison in 2003 after serving nearly half of a 40-year-sentenced for the murders of two siblings, ages 3 and 6, in Long Beach. Credit for good behavior behind bars helped reduced the sentence.
