VIGO CO., Ind. (WISH) - Police say they arrested a man after he led them on a chase while riding his ATV and then fled on foot Saturday evening in Vigo County.
A State Trooper was patrolling the area of State Road 63 near Curry Drive in southwestern Vigo County, when he noticed an ATV traveling on SR 63.
Police say the driver fled onto Curry Drive and was located seconds later at 1988 West Curry Drive, where police say he then fled on food over a fence.
Police found him minutes later playing basketball in front of 7639 South Cullen Place and they immediately took him into custody.
Kevin B. Maddox, age 49, of 7002 S. Kenney Place, Terre Haute, IN was arrested and taken to the Vigo County Jail.
Police searched the exterior of Maddox's home for a shirt he was wearing and police noticed eight plants that they believed to be marijuana.
They obtained a search warrant and during the search, troopers say they found in addition to the eight marijuana plants, items commonly used for the manufacture and sale of meth, drug paraphernalia, and weighing and packaging items commonly used in sale of marijuana.

In connection with the findings in the home, police arrested Shane Theisz, age 34, of 7639 S. Cullen Place, Terre Haute, IN.
