SHARPSVILLE, Ind. (WISH) - A 50-year-old man was severely injured in a vehicle accident early Monday morning.
Police say Morris Calvert was traveling westbound on CR 500 North in a 1991 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck when he ran off the road and into a ditch.
Police arrived on scene at 7:30 a.m. and Calvert was transported to the hospital for severe internal injuries. He was later taken by helicopter to Methodist Hospital.
Investigation shows Calvert was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and he was traveling at very high speeds.
This is an ongoing investigation.
