INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - The Social Security Administration says Emma and Mason were the most popular baby names in Indiana last year.
The agency announced the top names on Friday. It says Mason was chosen for more than 500 boys, followed by Liam, Elijah, Noah and William.
There were 450 Emmas born in Indiana last year, followed Olivia, Ava, Sophia and Isabella.
Nationwide, Sophia was the top girl's name and Jacob was tops among boys Mason was No. 2 nationwide and Emmas was the third most popular girl's name.
The data comes from Social Security card applications.
