INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Indiana State Fair tragedy will be at the forefront of conversations Monday in downtown Indianapolis.
A national stage safety group is visiting Indiana Monday.
The Event Safety Alliance was created in 2011, after the state fair tragedy and other stage collapses around the world.
The alliance is made up of engineers, production managers, and insurance professionals. The main goal is to create more uniform and tighter regulations for event stages across the world.
The group is visiting with local leaders at the government center Monday afternoon. It is a closed meeting, but participants say they'll meet with the media around 2 p.m.
Among the people in attendance is Jim Digby, tour manager for rock band Linkin Park. The band, along with Phish, adopted a new contract addendum for artists that promotes structural safety standards.
