INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Seven people were killed and dozens were injured after strong winds brought the stage rigging down before the Sugarland concert on Aug. 13, 2011.
At 8:46 p.m. on Monday, the Indiana State Fair will remember those who lost their lives at that same time exactly one year before.
Organizers ask that everyone in attendance, from visitors to vendors, stops and remember the victims.
At 8 p.m., announcements will begin over the public address system, reminding people of the upcoming moment of silence. At 8:30, all rides on the Midway will stop, and vendors will stop sales.
The moment of silence will happen at 8:46 p.m., and normal fair activities are expected to resume by 9 p.m.
