FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) - Police in Fort Wayne say a motorcyclist was badly injured after he hit a deer and then was run over by car.
Witnesses told police that the motorcyclist tried to avoid the deer when it ran across a four-lane section of U.S. 24 about a mile west of Interstate 69 on Monday. The Journal Gazette reports ( http://bit.ly/LG2i23 ) that the motorcyclist went down and was separated from his bike after hitting the animal.
Police say the driver of a car behind the motorcycle wasn't able to avoid running over him.
