Arrangements made for fallen soldier

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Funeral arrangements have been made for a fallen Wabash Valley soldier.

Sgt. Dale Griffin was killed in Afghanistan last week when the vehicle he was riding in hit an improvised explosive device. Griffin was with six other soldiers as they traveled with an Afgan interpreter.

Griffin's body will be back in Terre Haute Nov. 9. An exact arrival time has not yet been set.

The visitation for Griffin will take place on Nov. 10. The visitation will be at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, located at 1845 North 6th 1/2 St. in Terre Haute The visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The funeral will take place on Veterans Day Nov. 11 at 2 p.m. The funeral will be held at Terre Haute South Vigo High School.

After the funeral, Sgt. Dale Griffin will be buried at Highland Lawn Cemetery.
