Overnight snow won't add up to much

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Sprinkles late Friday were expected to change to a wintry mix in the overnight hours, but less than an inch of accumulated snow was expected.

Nonetheless, with Super Bowl festivities under way and visitors already making their way to the city, state snow crews were on full alert, with dozens of INDOT drivers scheduled to be out on the streets, salting roadways in preparation for any snow or ice.

Indy Snow Force drivers were also preparing to be out overnight, the city department said via Twitter late Friday evening.

Skies are expected to clear by Saturday afternoon and the rest of the day will be dry, Forecast 8 meteorologist Pamela Gardner said.

A few flurries were expected Sunday.
