INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Former Indianapolis Colts punter Hunter Smith will perform with his band at Gov.-elect Mike Pence's inaugural worship service.

Pence announced Monday that the Hunter Smith Band will appear at his worship and praise service Sunday afternoon at the Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis.

Smith has led the country/pop/rock band since 2011. His album "Green" includes of a mix of personal ballads of life on the road and tongue-in-cheek conservative tunes knocking Washington, D.C.

Incoming First Lady Karen Pence says she's "thrilled" to host Smith's band. The service is part of a weekend of events that Karen Pence is coordinating ahead of the inauguration Jan. 14.
