Police look for escaped felons

VIGO CO., Ind. (WISH) - A wanted man and woman are on the loose and one felon was captured after police say they fled from task force members on Wednesday.

John R. Brown of Terre Haute and another man and woman were in the area of 25th Street and Ft. Harrison Road when they fled from a vehicle on foot.

Brown was captured minutes later, but the other two got away from authorities, police say.

Task force members were able to determine the driver of the vehicle and the unidentified man who fled was Tyler Roderick Dix, age 29, of Terre Haute, Ind.

Dix is wanted on the following charges from present and past offenses:

  • Resisting Law Enforcement, a Class D felony
  • Operating a Vehicle as a Habitual Traffic Violator, a Class D felony
  • Failure to Appear on Criminal Recklessness Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury, class C felony
  • Failure to Stop after an Accident, class D felony
  • Operating a Vehicle as a Habitual Traffic Violator, class D felony.
  • Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated, class A misdemeanor

His Bond is $25,000.

Dix is described as a white male, 6’2, and 170 lbs, according to police.

The female felon’s escape is still being investigated.
