INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Power outages scattered across Central Indiana early Monday morning as a line of rain moved through the area.
As of 8 a.m., the biggest outage reported was in Hamilton County, where 1,101 Duke Energy customers were without electricity. Duke officials say they weren't sure what caused the outage in the Noblesville area, but as of 8:45 a.m. only 25 customers were without power.
In Indianapolis, more than 800 customers were without power at some points early Monday morning, but as of 7:45 a.m. only 166 customers were still without power, according to Indianapolis Power and Light’s website.
More than 200 Duke Energy customers were out of power in each of Clinton, Putnam and Ripley counties Monday morning, as of 7:30 a.m. Montgomery County had 119 customers without power at the same time.
It wasn’t immediately clear what prompted the outages.
