Powerball jackpot soars to an estimated $325 million

INDIANAPOLIS - Remember when the Powerball jackpot was only $250 million dollars?

That was Wednesday night. And since no one matched all the necessary numbers, players can turn their attention to Saturday's estimated $325 million jackpot.

For the third time this year, Powerball players nationwide have a chance at a jackpot above the $300 million mark.

Indiana players are trying to win the Powerball jackpot for the 39th time overall and for the first time since April 2011 when tickets purchased at Indiana retailers produced two winners.

As with all Hoosier Lottery games, the net income generated from sales of Powerball in Indiana stays in Indiana to benefit Hoosiers.

The Hoosier Lottery urges all players to play responsibly.
