INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - From Friday, March 15, through Monday, March 18, folks can drop off any unwanted or unused prescriptions at Marsh Pharmacies or MainStreet Market Pharmacies around the Hoosier state.
In 2010, 654 Hoosiers died from drug overdoses.
According to the CDC, for every one overdose death from prescription painkillers, 130 people abuse or are dependent.
This drop-off is a joint effort between the Indiana Department of Environmental Management and Marsh Supermarkets to help ease the problem.
