INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Kids in central Indiana now have a direct line to Santa: a special mailbox on Monument Circle just for mail to him.
The mailbox – decorated like Santa himself and his pal Rudolph – was set up Nov. 14 on Monument Circle, on the east side of the Circle facing Market Street.
Kids can drop their letters and wish lists in, and if they include a return address on the letter or stamped envelope, they will even get a reply from the jolly old elf. Including a self-addressed, stamped envelope will speed up the reply. Each year, Santa and his elves respond to thousands of letters placed in this special mailbox, the U.S. Postal Service said.
The mailbox will be removed from Monument Circle on Dec. 14.
