JACKSON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) - A truck driver from Tennessee was killed Friday morning in a crash on Interstate 65.

Police say that a semi truck pulling a trailer was crossing a bridge on I-65 over U.S. 31 at around 2:30 a.m. when the driver lost control on the icy road.

The truck hit a guardrail, went down into an embankment, and struck a concrete barrier.

The trailer went through the truck cab during the crash, killing the driver who has been identified as Lazaro A. Melendez.
