Simon Malls 'deeply saddened' by Colorado shooting

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Indianapolis-based company that owns the property adjacent to where a gunman opened fire on dozens of moviegoers in Colorado released a statement on Friday.

Simon Property Group, which owns Simon Malls, said in a statement that the mall adjacent to where the shooting happened would be closed all day Friday.

“We are deeply saddened by this horrific tragedy and extend our heartfelt condolences to the families who lost loved ones and to all those that were injured,” the statement said.

At least 12 people were killed and many others injured when the gunman interrupted a midnight showing of the new Batman movie.
