UNDERWOOD, Ind. (AP) - Southern Indiana police found the body of a missing 41-year-old man in a wooded area near his family's farm.
WLKY-TV reports ( http:// bit.ly/wuwsxl ) Kenneth Clampitt's body was found Friday night in woods less than half a mile from his family's 70-acre farm near the town of Underwood.
Maj. Chuck Adams of the Clark County Sheriff's office says the cause of Clampitt's death remains under investigation.
Relatives said Clampitt was mentally disabled from a brain injury he had suffered in childhood.
He was last seen Thursday afternoon when he left for a walk with his dog, but by nightfall only the dog had returned home.
Officers found Clampitt's jacket and eye glasses early Friday morning but suspended their search until later Friday after police dogs lost a scent they were tracking.
