INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Hoosiers who sustained damage from severe weather that hit the state starting Thursday, March 1, are asked to report their damage online to the Indiana Department of Homeland Security.

"Individuals with damage from the severe weather must report quickly," said IDHS Executive Director Joe Wainscott. "The faster we can assess the situation, the better."
Individuals are asked to report damage and the type of damage their property sustained. Losses can include structural damage to homes and loss of personal property.
The reports will be used to help the state determine what types of aid to request from the federal government.
It is important to note that this is simply an effort to collect information and not an application for an assistance program.
