State sees another West Nile death

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The death count in Indiana from West Nile Virus has risen.

In the latest report of the West Nile Virus, 61 cases have been confirmed. Marion County has reported 10 cases and two deaths. Allen County also has two deaths. Hendricks and Vanderburgh counties have each reported a case resulting in death.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, mild symptoms for the virus include headaches, nausea, body aches, fever, vomiting, and occasionally swollen lymph glands. More severe symptoms result in a high fever, headache, disorientation, coma, neck stiffness, convulsions, numbness and paralysis.
