PORTAGE, Ind. (AP) - State police say a truck driver was killed when he struck his head while getting a ticket for the Indiana Toll Road.
Police say the semitrailer driver had opened his door and was
reaching for a ticket at a toll booth near Portage about 2 a.m.
Thursday when his truck began to roll backward, crushing his head
between the door and a concrete post.
An accident report says 47-year-old Jaroslaw Lelis of Valley
Stream, N.Y., died of massive head trauma.
