Vigo County surveyor passes away

VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) - Vigo County Surveyor Michael Sheehan passed away early Saturday morning.
Few details are known at this time, but we do know that Sheehan was found unresponsive in his home Saturday morning.
Sheehan began his work as county surveyor in 1998.
During his time, he revitalized several local programs, and even created new projects to help maintain the community.
It's unknown at this time as to what the county will do with the now vacant elected position.
