VINCENNES, Ind. (AP) - Vincennes University is seeking to continue expanding its early college program that allows high school students to work toward an associate degree while completing their high school diplomas.

University president Dick Helton tells the Vincennes Sun-Commercial the college aims to provide affordable college and the program helps students. He says the program would help with economic development.

Helton says the early college high school partnerships include five participating schools, with the sixth scheduled to begin in Fort Wayne this fall and with two others in the works.
