EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) - Police in Evansville say a woman was fatally stabbed by another passenger inside a moving pickup truck.
Officers arrested a 65-year-old man on a preliminary charge of murder after the attack late Monday that killed Latonya Marie McNary. The Evansville Courier & Press ( http://bit.ly/KNNUCJ ) reports that McNary was in the truck with her brother and the other man when she was stabbed near the city's downtown.
McNary's brother told police that the man "just went off" and stabbed her before he was able to grab the knife and throw it from the truck that he was driving.
Police say McNary had dated the man who was arrested. He was being held in the Vanderburgh County Jail.
