Shooting leaves one dead, one hurt

One person is dead and another at Wishard Hospital, following a double shooting at a northeast side apartment complex.

The shooting happened early Saturday morning at the Whitfield Square apartments near 46th Street and Arlington. Police say they arrived to find two people shot.

Medics say a 41 year old man found inside an apartment died of his injuries. A 21 year old man found in an entryway is in critical but stable condition.

Police say the victims knew the suspect. So far, officers have not said if they have an idea who the shooter is. But, they say the 21 year old man was able to give them some information before medics rushed him to the hospital.
