FARMLAND, Ind. (WISH/AP) - Two teens were killed and one was seriously injured Sunday morning when a train struck a vehicle.

The Farmland Police Department says the incident occurred just before 2:30 a.m. at the railroad crossing on North Plum Street in Farmland. Officers arrived on scene to find a car struck by a train and one person ejected from the vehicle.

Amber Morrow and Kristin "Kris" Kiser, both 17, was pronounced dead on scene. Joshua Ponder, 18, was airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.

This crash is still under investigation. Autopsies are planned Monday, Farmland Town Marshal Melvin Nott said.

Monroe Central Schools Superintendent Reese Mann said a prayer vigil was set for 6 p.m. Monday in the gym at the junior-senior high school.

A fundraiser is planned for Kiser's family to help with funeral expenses. All proceeds from a chili supper, 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Parker City Diner, will go to them. Donations may also be mailed. Checks payable to Walker Funeral Home can be sent to Donna Hunt, 278 S. 1000W, Farmland, IN 47340.
