SHELBYVILLE, Ind. (WISH) - The winner of Saturday's $34.5 million Hoosier Lotto jackpot has yet to come forward.

The winning ticket was sold at the Smokers Host Discount Tobacco store on South Harrison. A man reportedly announced his good fortune on his Facebook page over the weekend. That man’s sister, who spoke with 24-Hour News 8 but didn’t want to go on camera, said he’s in his early 40s and is raising four children on his own.

Monday, the busy store was buzzing with people wanting to know who won the jackpot - the third-largest in Hoosier Lotto history.

Customers were still hoping they had the winning ticket.

"I'm in a (lottery) pool,” said Shelbyville resident Mike Merritt. “So I'm hoping she still shows up, claims our ticket and gives me a call. It's not out of the question yet. She could still be showing up. Just hope she didn't leave the country."

By 5 p.m. Monday, no one had turned up at the Hoosier Lottery Office in Indianapolis to claim the prize. The office opens again Tuesday morning at 8:30.

The company that owns the tobacco store that sold the winning ticket will also receive a payout of $100,000.
