BROOKVILLE, Ind. (WISH) - Uni-Ref, Inc., a factory producing heat-resistant material for protective furnace linings, is planning to relocate its headquarters from Ohio to a 23-acre campus at 8031 Golden Road in Brookville.

The relocation to Brookville is expected to create up to 50 new jobs by 2015. The company said it plans to start hiring new employees next year.

"There were numerous reasons for choosing Indiana as our new location," said Vice President of Operations at Uni-Ref, Fred Daniels. "The number one reason was the business friendly environment and lower tax base for businesses. The support from local Hoosiers and the Franklin County Economic Development Corporation also made it easy to choose Brookville as the location for our new headquarters."

Uni-Ref is the 12th company this year to relocate to Indiana.
