Coroner: Shelbyville toddler's death was homicide

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Shelbyville toddler who died at an Indianapolis hospital died from blunt force trauma to the head, the Marion County Coroner’s Office reported Thursday.

The coroner’s report lists the manner of death as a Homicide.

Jasper Simpson was rushed to Major Hospital in Shelbyville late Monday night where doctors determined the boy needed to be airlifted to Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health in Indianapolis.

The 22-month old died Tuesday night at the hospital.
