RUSHVILLE, Ind. (WISH) - A Greensburg man walked away with minor injuries after hitting a tree with his vehicle Thursday evening.

Officials say the man lost control of the vehicle and nearly hit a utility pole on US 52. The man then lost control of his vehicle again and hit a small tree in the front yard of a residence in the 7900 block of US 52.

"I was outside and saw the entire thing, He just shot through the yard and hit the tree. It sounded like a gun going off," the home owner said.

The motorist was not injured and able to exit the vehicle on his own before responding crews arrived, our partners at the Rushville Republican report.
