I-74 reopens following fatal crash in Shelby County

SHELBY COUNTY,Ind. (WISH) - All lanes of I-74 have reopened following a fatal crash early Tuesday in Shelby County.

The crash occurred around 12:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes of I-74 at mile marker 112, which is just west of Ind. 9.

Shelby County police say a vehicle heading eastbound went into the median and then into the path of a westbound truck.

The driver of the vehicle was killed.

All lanes of I-74 westbound were closed several hours while investigators collected evidence.

Authorities have not yet released information on the cause of the crash or the victim's identity as of Tuesday morning.
