SIESTA KEY, Fla. (WISH) - The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is investigating the drowning death of an Indiana teenager in a Siesta Key swimming pool.

Officials say deputies were called to the Crystal Sands Condominiums at 3:25 a.m. Friday morning after a resident found the victim laying at the bottom of the pool.

The victim was identified at 17-year-old Garrett Mabrey of Columbus, Ind. He was pronounced dead on scene.

Mabrey was last seen just before midnight by his family, who was vacationing in Florida at the time of the incident.

Detectives suspect the teen's death was accidental but an autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.
