WAYNE COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) - After a violent, airborne crash in Wayne County, police say a Modoc man died Monday night.
The accident happened around 10:25 p.m. in northwest Wayne County, near the Randolph County line. Police say 23-year-old Ryan M. King was speeding southbound on Thornburg Road when he caught air over a rise in the road. He lost control, went off the road and struck a rock, propelling his car into the air. He hit a tree before his car came to rest against a house.
King was ejected from the car as a result of the crash and pronounced dead at the scene. His Mini Cooper suffered extensive damage.
Police say King wasn’t wearing a seat belt.
No one in the home at the time of the crash was injured.
