Man killed when car crashes into tree, catches fire

GREENFIELD, Ind. (WISH) - Hancock County dispatchers say one man was killed when his car crashed into a tree and caught fire early Sunday morning.

Officials say the incident occurred just after 2 a.m. in the 1600 block of Bowman in Greenfield.

According to a news release, 22-year-old Cody Bragg  was driving his 1999 Dodge Dakota at high speeds southbound on Bowman Drive.

He was not able to navigate a curve and crashed into a tree, causing the bottom of the car to catch fire. When officers arrived on scene, the victim was still inside the car. He was pronounced dead on scene.
