NEW CASTLE, Ind. (AP) - The hometown of the Indiana team that reached the Little League World Series will honor the boys with a parade.

The parade through the streets of New Castle is set for Sept. 8. The Courier-Times reports the parade will be followed by a ceremony and reception for the team at the city's Little League fields.

The team of 11- and 12-year-olds won the Great Lakes Regional tournament in Indianapolis to advance to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pa. The New Castle team won its opening game there over a squad from Oregon but was eliminated from the tournament with losses to teams from Texas and Connecticut.
