SHELBYVILLE, Ind. (WISH) - A Shelbyville man is under arrest on child molestation and drug charges.
On Saturday, Shelbyville Police pulled over a vehicle driven by Jeremy Haus, 18, traveling in the 400 block of N. Harrison Street. The license plate on the vehicle was expired.
It was later determined Haus had a suspended driver’s license. Haus was issued a summons to appear and his vehicle was impounded.
During a routine inventory of the vehicle, officers found a black safe in the trunk. While conducting a sweep with the K-9 unit, the police dog indicated the presence of narcotics coming from the safe. Officers requested a search warrant for the safe and were granted one. They found marijuana and paraphernalia in the safe.
Officers also located several electronic devices including some evidence of sexual relations with a minor.
Haus was arrested and transported to the Shelby County Jail.
