WINCHESTER, Ind. (WISH) - An Indiana State Police officer was involved in a crash Thursday morning when a pickup truck driven by a suspended driver failed to yield.
Two troopers were attempting to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation heading southbound on U.S. 27 around 9:30 a.m.
A pickup truck entered the path of the troopers’ vehicle at CR 300. The troopers swerved to try and avoid the truck, but the truck hit the car, sending it into a spin, according to a release.
The driver, Trooper Otter was not injured. His passenger, Trooper David, was taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital in Winchester for wrist and arm pain.
The driver of the pickup truck was not injured. He was cited for driving while license suspended and failure to yield at a through highway.
