Little League team to receive World Series rings

NEW CASTLE, Ind. (WISH) - The New Castle Little League team that reached the Little League World Series , will receive their rings Saturday.

Nick Vangore of Smith Jewelers says the team of 11 and 12-year-olds will be heading to the store around 1 p.m. Saturday to receive their Little League World Series Rings. The team will also be taking photos at the store.

The New Castle team won the Great Lakes Regional tournament in Indianapolis to advance to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pa. The  team won its first game in Williamsport over an Oregon team but was eliminated from the tournament with losses to teams from Texas and Connecticut.
