MORRISTOWN, Ind. (WISH) - Wednesday, the Morristown Council discussed plan for a proposed volunteer fire department.
The old fire station is cramped and causes problems for larger firetrucks, our partners at the Shelbyville News report.
Officials say they have been discussing a possible station for the past two years.
At the Wednesday meeting, officials agreed to pay to have architectural drawings made for the proposed station, which will cost about $12,860. The drawings will give the council an idea of how much the station will actually cost.
The measure was approved in a unanimous vote at the meeting.
