COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH) - Police in Columbus arrested a 14 year-old boy after a violent attack is captured on a cell phone camera.

Police say the 14-year-old they arrested is home schooled. They say he attacked another 14-year-old on Thursday as he was walking home from school.

The video, which was taken by a cell phone camera, shows the victim being punched in the head and body more than 20 times.  We blurred are not able to release the names of the victim or the attacker because both are juveniles.

At one point in the video the victim falls, only to be taunted and told to get up before he is kicked then punched repeatedly.  The 14-year-old victim was treated at Columbus regional hospital for bruises to his head, back pain and a severely split lip.

He was less than a block away from school when the attack happened.

The attacker was booked on misdemeanor battery charges. Police say at least three people watched the attack and did nothing.
