Worker seriously hurt outside New Castle High School

NEW CASTLE, Ind. (WISH) - Sewer work at New Castle High School left a man seriously injured Friday morning.

Emergency officials in New Castle say a maintenance worker and a contractor were working on a sewer with a high pressure water line outside New Castle High School.

The incident happened at about 9:30 a.m. when the water line broke loose and water cut the contractor’s neck.

The contractor was taken to an Indianapolis hospital in serious condition.
