HAMILTON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) - A northern Hamilton County family managed to escape their burning home early Monday morning.
Around 12:30 a.m., the homeowner called 911 to report his two-story wood frame house had caught fire.
The house is located near Arcadia on East 256th Street, just East of Devaney Road.
Firefighters from eight area fire departments responded to the blaze.
Flames were shooting through the roof when fire units arrived.
Several water tanker trucks were needed to bring water to the fire scene which has no hydrants.
Firefighters battled the fire for several hours.
There were no report of injuries.
Responding fire departments included: Noblesville, Cicero, Jackson Township, Sheridan, White River Township, Wayne Township, Kirklin and Cicero Township from Tipton County .
