Noblesville Schools held an H1N1 Clinic for students Saturday. But the clinic only took students who had signed permission slips turned in weeks ago.

Signs posted outside Noblesville High School set the ground rules for this H1N1 clinic. You had to have a confirmation letter to get the vaccine.

"Because of limited vaccines we have a waiting list, so we'll come back and pick up the next families that are interested as soon as we get more vaccine," Noblesville Schools Superintendent Libbie Conner said.

Only those who turned in their signed permission slips earlier in the month, got the green light for the H1N1 vaccine at this clinic.

Matt Thomas had signed releases for his three children, "It ran like a well oiled machine. (I'm) very happy and the kids didn't even flinch and they all took the shot. What I thought was amazing was how many of the kids are actually requesting the shot instead of the nasal mist."

By 11 o'clock Saturday morning 500 doses of the H1N1 vaccine had been dispensed.

Other clinics are scheduled for other Hamilton County schools. The times and the dates are still up in the air because it all depends on the doses shipped from the CDC.

"It's not the local health department's problem that we're not receiving the vaccine, its the CDC and don't get upset when they say we don't' have any because we don't," explained Jim Ginder with the Hamilton County Health department.

The local health department asks that people be patient. They expect more doses from the CDC next week. There is no date set yet for the next clinic at Noblesville High School.

Indianapolis HealthNet's six community centers also held clinics Saturday.
