CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) - Cars headed to Crooked Stick Golf Club for the BMW Championship on Thursday encountered heavy traffic.
Indiana State Police was periodically closing lanes and roads to expedite traffic and shuttles.
Officers and volunteers were directing traffic into parking lots. They urge motorists not to attempt to find their own parking area.
As of about 1 p.m., ISP officials said the best way to get to parking areas was taking Meridian Street or Michigan Road to 106th Street.
