CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) - The Indy Express Bus will once again take fans from the north side to downtown Indianapolis every home game this season.
The bus service picked up fans Sunday at 11 a.m. for the 1 p.m. Colts game against the Minnesota Vikings.
Shuttles leave from Meijer at the intersection of Pennsylvania and Carmel Drive in Carmel. Shuttles also leave from Prairie View at Crosspoint, located on the northeast corner of 106th Street and Lantern Road in Fishers, according to a release.
These are the same locations where Indy Express Bus offers downtown commuter shuttles on weekdays.
"We are excited to offer the shuttle service for the 2012-2013 Colts season," said Ehren Bingaman, executive director of the Central Indiana Regional Transportation Authority (CIRTA), which operates Indy Express Bus along with Miller Trailways. "Not only does the Indy Express Bus help fans save money on parking and gas, it leaves the driving to someone else. Plus it helps alleviate traffic congestion downtown. Last year, we saw fans from all over north central Indiana use the service."
The game day shuttle will drop off fans on Missouri Street on the west side of Lucas Oil Stadium between Abbott and West Norwood streets.
Round trip tickets are $10 in advance and $20 at the pick-up locations.
Shuttles will depart from the same location 30 minutes after the game.
The service will be offered for all eight home games, with pickup two hours before the kickoff and pick up 30 minutes afterward.
