CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) - Carmel Clay Schools’ superintendent will be stepping down at the end of June.
Jeff Swensson told the school board of his decision Monday, saying it was time to “pass the leadership baton.” His six years in Carmel Clay administration – first as an assistant superintendent and then as superintendent – was highlighted by passage of a general fund referendum and accreditation of the district.
He said he wanted to give the board ample time to find his successor, and he thanked the community for its support.
