FISHERS, Ind. (WISH) - The Town of Fishers announced Thursday the creation of a new co-working space for high-impact entrepreneurs.
Launch Fishers is a 16,000 square foot space with a coffeehouse atmosphere on the ground level of the Hamilton East Library, according to a release.
"Fishers entrepreneurs have long asked for flexible co-working space that lends itself to building meaningful businesses," said Fishers Town Council Member John Weingardt. "Launch Fishers will provide the tangible resources, but most importantly, the intangible resources that enable the success of businesses."
Launch Fishers, located at 7 Launch Way, offers a comfortable common area for co-working. There are also workstations, conference rooms, a mailbox service and locker place.
"With the creation of Launch Fishers we are making it easier for people to get started in business" said entrepreneur and Launch Fishers consultant John Wechsler. "We hope to increase not only the number of startups in the area but also the success rate."
Members can choose from three primary service levels, including individual entrepreneur, dedicated workspace, and company enclave. All offer different workspaces to accommodate members.
Launch Fishers will also provide ongoing programming related to high-growth entrepreneurship. Issues like how cloud and mobile computing are changing the business landscape are involved in the programming.
The first scheduled event at Launch Fishers is the monthly meeting of The Venture Club of Indiana on Nov. 1.
