CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) - The driver who lost control of a Carmel Clay Schools bus has resigned.
Jack Thomas, 73, wasn’t wearing a seatbelt when one of the bus tires went off the road. He bounced out of his seat and tried grabbing the wheel, but he wasn’t able to regain control of the bus as it barreled toward a house.

A spokeswoman with Carmel Clay Schools said Thomas resigned his position. He was hurt in the crash, but suffered no serious injuries. No one in the home the bus struck was injured, and students weren’t on the bus at the time.
